We set off just the other day on a road trip in small camper van, with no particular route decided, but knowing we would end up in Tamworth for the festival. Well... our journey has become a little bit aimless now. Due to the current surge in Covid cases in Australia, the organisers of the Tamworth Country Music Festival have decided it best to postpone the festival, with a view to rescheduling to April. I agree that this is a wise decision as my concerns had been growing as the event was getting closer and the numbers where going up, and would have hated for people to get ill or worse. But all of this does mean that we are now travelling with no specific destination, hopefully the experience of being a 'drifter' on the open road will bring inspiration for more ideas, songs and feels. We have tins of baked beans we can eat around the camp fire under dark skies. (I was going to insert a joke here about a scene from a Mel Brooks film, but thought better of it!) I will keep you all updated, if and when Tamworth is rescheduled and what dates I might be playing. In the meantime, please stay strong and keep safe.

With the Nashville Sessions finished, I thought, why not get a camper van and take the scenic route to Tamworth via the middle-of-nowhere . I'm not one for having the best of ideas, but this sound like it should be fine(?). Driving the open road, playing my guitar under starry starry skies, and, running away from scary scary critters and wildlife with bitey teeth and too many legs (shudder!) What could go wrong? My gig list for Tamworth has expanded yet again, I got booked for another date, so, maybe this is the final list... TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL Peel Street - Mon 17th 2-3pm

Peel Street - Tue 18th 5-6pm Peel Street - Wed 19th 11.30-12pm Peel Street - Thu 20th 2pm Toyota stage, Fitzway Plaza - Wed 19th 2-2.30pm

OK, that will do for now, time to fire up this camper van beast and get on the road!!!

This should be the final list of when and where I should be appearing at the Tamworth Country Music Festival next year (2022). I was originally booked in to perform on Peel Street, Monday and Tuesday, two one hour shows... a thrilling prospect, to perform at the great Tamworth Country Music Festival on the infamous Peel Street. Then I was put down to perform a little half-hour show, again on Peel Street, on the Wednesday. Such an honour to be able to play at such a major and well respected festival, but then, I get a call from the organisers, asking me to play a small set on the Toyota sponsored stage in Fitzway Plaza. So, I now have to put out yet another blog advising my Toyota stage appearance... I am hoping this is the last update and this is the final list (well, if they asked me to play another slot somewhere, I would probably say yes). 2022

17th Monday - 2-3 pm - Peel Street 18th Tuesday - 5-6 pm - Peel Street 19th Wednesday - 11.30-12pm - Peel Street 19th Wednesday - 2-2.30pm - Fitzway Plaza, Toyota Stage Hopefully, this means you can catch me at one of these, give me a little support as this is all a little daunting to me, plus it would be great to meet you and say hi.
